Private Education provider, United Arab Emirates – Enterprise Risk Management – Simon Cox led a multi-national team to establish an Enterprise Risk Management system and associated processes across this International client and develop Risk Treatment Plans for the top 20 strategic risks in preparation for the company's planned Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the stock market.

A West Midlands County Council – Highway Infrastructure - a review encompassing a root cause analysis on why this infrastructure development was delivered late and significantly over budget, including contractual claim costs. This was a high-profile assignment as there had been significant adverse stakeholder comment of the disruption on this key route in the local press.

Major London Museum – Project Management Safety Media Implementation – Simon Cox was the Project Manager who delivered implementation of a new Health and Safety Management and training package across the Museums 5 sites with over 500 users. Work also included extracting and securing data from the old legacy system and the implementation went live on the due date, despite an ambitious deadline, and the project was delivered within budget.

Government Agency – Business Plan Review - Simon Cox was commissioned by this Government Agency to review the business plan of a potential transfer of activity to a Community Interest Company. The work identified that the company plans were not sufficiently robust, and that financial failure was a significant risk within the first year as no income was secured. As a result of the report to the Chief Accounting Officer alternative approaches to continue this activity are now being pursued.

South West region Hospital Foundation NHS Trust - Transfer of Maternity Services – This assignment was to consider the work of the Project group to disaggregate the Maternity Contract. The objective was to provide assurance that the risks of the exit strategy were effectively mitigated. Work undertaken included the financial and information governance risks around the transfer of the service and associated patient and staff data.

West Midlands County Council – Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) – This governance review considered how the County Council discharged is accountable authority role with regards to the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), taking into account the legal position that the LEP is not a legal entity.
